Tech Support
One of the larger number of hits I receive on this site are for some of my Tech Support related articles. I’ve moved web hosts several times, and eventually they get lost. I’m starting this Tech Support page, which will link to the more technical articles I’ve written.
The technical articles I have written:
ActiveState ActivePerl PPM Error “Error: PPD for ‘Crypt-DES.ppd‘ could not be found.” - How to install that pesky Crypt-DES.ppd package!
SCSI Start Unit Request Failed Error - You boot up, see that error and all of a sudden a drive (or drives) can’t be seen. You might not be doomed!
How to work with acrylic plastic (plexiglas, acrylite, etc) - How to work with plastic, from bending to cutting to heating. (I am updating this now)
How to find out is PowerShell is installed (Any OS) - A quick edit of an MS script to determine is Powershell is installed on a machine, this script accounts for the variations in hotfix numbers depending on the OS.
System Center Operations Manager 2007: Determine Agent from Health Service ID - In SCOM2007, every now and then you’ll receive an alert which talks about an agent but only refers to it by it’s GUID. This is how to decipher it, including a quick & dirty PowerShell function.
If you find any of these links useful, and would like to donate to the site, feel free. I will not complain one little bit. It’s all karma!

But since my identity was stolen and some fraudulent accounts were opened in my name, I had to find a way out. A good piece of advice was given by the experts at
